Heart Behind The Song:
The song "Trusting You" was written in the very moment of being overwhelmed and in a difficult season. Instead of Isolation, songwriter, Cain chose to turn to the word of God and opened it up to the book of Psalms. Immediately after feeling comfort while having the Bible open, this song was written. It's about trusting God in a difficult season and feeling overwhelmed.
Lyrics
In this moment I feel lost
I feel small and unheard
Like prayers with a barrier in front of You
For what seems like too long now
But even then when it looks to be hopeless
I will choose to put my faith in You
Trusting You to Your Word
That You work all things for good
When I don't hear Your voice
When it feels like You're silent
I will force myself to praise
With my hands lifted high
And trusting You
In difficult times
I know my time frame is not Yours
And that Your thoughts are greater than mine
But Lord provide me with peace
With a comfort that doesn't fade based on my circumstances
When I don't hear Your voice
When it feels like You're silent
I will force myself to praise
With my hands lifted high
And trusting You in difficult times
I'm gonna trust You
Putting this situation in Your hands
Trusting that You are a good God
That turns His ear toward His children
I thank You Lord for Your peace
I thank You for Your mercy
I thank You for Your unconditional love Lord
When I don't hear Your voice
When it feels like You're silent
I will force myself to praise
With my hands lifted high
And trusting You in difficult times
You're good God
You're a loving God
A God that hears me
